Gorgeous and hazy pixel art horror farming sim Neverway has been pushed to 2027, but you can at least have a gander at some of the NPCs you can smooch

The indie game Neverway, a horror life simulation and RPG created by the team behind Celeste and the composer of Fez, has unfortunately been pushed back to 2027. The delay was announced through a Steam blog post from Coldblood Inc., the developer.

Despite the setback, the team remains committed to delivering the best possible version of the game. Coldblood Inc. explains that the additional time will allow for the expansion of existing chapters and areas, ensuring a richer and more engaging experience for players.

One of the key features of Neverway is the 20 unique characters, each with over 250 routines to follow. The developers understand that fans may be eager to get their hands on the game, but they want to avoid delaying the release further. They apologize for any disappointment this may cause.

Players will be able to form romantic relationships with 12 of these characters. While it's not possible to romance multiple characters simultaneously, players can pursue individual relationships with each of them. Portraits of these characters are available on the developer's blog post.

The game will feature multiple endings, and the developers emphasize that the relationships players form with the characters may directly influence the outcome of the game. Coldblood Inc. assures players that they are committed to avoiding "bad endings" and instead aims for intriguing and varied conclusions.

The team is currently working on refining the relationships and multiple endings. They encourage fans to wishlist the game on Steam and try out the available demo if they are interested in experiencing Neverway once it is released.
