EPL: Ajayi on target in Hull City’s 2-0 win over Man United

Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has announced his decision to leave the Catalan club, potentially providing Manchester United with a valuable addition to their transfer plans. According to sources, Balde's agent Jorge Mendes is actively seeking a new club for his client before the end of the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old has been instrumental in Barcelona's success last season, contributing with 42 appearances across all competitions and playing a pivotal role in their La Liga title win and Supercopa de Espana triumph.

However, Balde's future at Barcelona appears uncertain, as his current coach Hansi Flick has hinted that his playing time will be limited this season. The Red Devils, currently seeking a new left-back, see Balde as an ideal candidate to fill the void left by departing Tyrell Malacia, who has left on a free transfer. Patrick Dorgu, who plays on the left wing, also cannot be counted on to fill the new role, as he operates in that position as well.

United aims to maintain balance for their first-choice left-back by bringing in an additional player to share Luke Shaw's workload. Although Newcastle United's Lewis Hall is considered an ideal target by United, the 21-year-old is expected to remain at St James' Park, having entered contract talks with the club and being offered a role within the leadership team under manager Matthias Jaissle.

Balde, despite his youth, has proven his mettle in the senior ranks, having made 168 appearances for Barcelona. Known for his pace, dribbling skills, and ball-carrying ability, he stands out as a brilliant option for Manchester United in their pursuit of a left-back replacement.
