The duo also missed last week's Trophée des Champions game against RC Lens. Both are anticipated to depart Paris Saint-Germain during the final days of the summer transfer window.

The French international is the priority target for Liverpool, with discussions reportedly progressing slowly with the Champions League winners. Despite participating in training on Saturday, Barcola and Mbaye will not be part of the team for Sunday's match in Brittany. Initially, PSG had planned to host Rennes at the Parc des Princes, but the pitch was affected by a fungal infection, leading to the game being moved to Roazhon Park. The return leg's venue is yet to be determined, pending the decision on Ligue 1's regulations.
