Before Stardom With… Busola Oke Eleyele (Musician)

I am Busola Eleyele, a recording artiste, a prophetess, a mass communication graduate from the University of Lagos, and a businesswoman. I was born with the talent to make music, inspired by God to create songs. My musical gift is spiritual, and I create inspirational music through the Holy Spirit's guidance, drawing from my everyday life experiences. My songs are often based on true-life stories or experiences.

Despite facing challenges on my way to stardom, everything came on a platter of gold, and I was lucky to enter the limelight. The transition from being discovered to being a stardom came with a different set of issues. Both secular and gospel music deliver good news, but the difference lies in the type of news they convey. Stardom has deprived me of freedom, as I am now a mirror everyone looks into.

My stardom has not changed who I am; I remain the same old me, maintaining my friendships of over 30 years and staying true to who I am. I have faced challenges on my ascent to stardom, but as long as an artiste focuses on their chosen career, they should not worry about anything. My advice to upcoming artistes is to ensure they are talented before entering the music industry.
