Bandh Backs Campaign To Save Higher Secondary No 2 Playground In MP's Neemuch

Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh - In an effort to prevent the construction of a new school building on the Higher Secondary No 2 playground, a bandh was observed in the city on Saturday. The Khel Maidan Bachao Samiti initiated the plea, which prompted traders and businesses to voluntarily close their establishments until 1 pm. Players and committee members traversed various parts of the city, urging shopkeepers to back the campaign.

The protesters are adamant about preserving the ground for sports purposes, fearing that construction could jeopardize a crucial facility for molding Neemuch’s athletic potential. Despite assurances from the administration that sports facilities, such as basketball, football, cricket, volleyball, and a running track, would be developed alongside the school, opposition to the project has escalated as construction has already commenced and the site layout has been marked. The committee remains resolute in its commitment to safeguard the playground.
