The actor, who has two daughters from his previous marriage, Mahika and Myra, spoke about their bond, emphasizing that their children have embraced Demetriades with open arms. She stated, "They have been amazing through everything. We never had to tell them, ‘Oh, you have to respect Gabriela’. They have a relationship with me. If they like me as a friend, that is great."
