Another Passenger Train Restored After 8 Years

The Sandal Express has recommenced its journeys after a prolonged eight-year hiatus, reestablishing rail links between Sargodha and Multan. This brings about more affordable travel options for passengers residing in Jhang and other towns along the route. The resumption of services was celebrated with significant events at both Jhang and Sargodha railway stations, where crowds of local residents welcomed the return of the train.

Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, underscored that the restoration of the Sandal Express symbolizes the government's dedication to providing essential services to the public. He further explained that reviving suspended railway lines is an integral component of a larger initiative aimed at enhancing connectivity and public service delivery across the nation.

During the festivities, Abbasi also inaugurated the refurbished Jhang Railway Station. Dr. Mohazam Waheed Sheikh, an administrator at the Red Crescent Hospital in Jhang and a successful businessman, generously funded the station's renovation as a gesture of support for enhancing public amenities in the city.
