America’s Cup, arrivano a Nisida i team iscritti alla pre-gara di settembre

The countdown has begun for the preliminary races of the America’s Cup, set to take place in Naples between September 24th and 27th. All teams registered for the prestigious yacht race will be in Nisida by August 30th, ready to warm up their muscles and unfurl the sails. The naval base of Nisida in Naples will host hangars and cradles for the AC40 boats during the pre-gulley race.

This temporary logistical base will support the event until the completion of the definitive area in Bagnoli for the 2027 competition. Six teams from six different nations with nine boats will be in the race. The Australian crew, however, has opted to remain in Naples. Once in the Gulf of Naples, these teams will stay until 2027 when the most important yacht race, awaited with great anticipation, will be held.

In other words, the great event is about to start, eagerly awaited by enthusiasts. This is expected to give a significant boost to the local economy. Meanwhile, construction continues at Bagnoli, particularly the maritime works. Here, hangars have already been delivered to the yacht teams, and an underwater base intended for the awards has been prepared.
