Al-Kholood withstands Al-Taawoun comeback to claim first Roshn League win

Al-Kholood claimed their maiden victory of the 2026-2027 Roshn Saudi Pro League season, defeating Al-Taawoun 3-2 in a thrilling second-half comeback. The hosts took the lead at the 21-minute mark through Edgaras Utkus, with Iker Kortajarena making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. Just before halftime, Shaquille Pinas added a third goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time, leaving Al-Kholood with a formidable 3-0 cushion.

However, Al-Taawoun fought back with Abderrazak Hamdallah scoring once in the 52nd minute and again in the third minute of stoppage time. Despite Al-Kholood's determined defense, Al-Taawoun's late efforts were insufficient to secure a draw or an equalizer, and the final whistle saw Al-Kholood with four points, while Al-Taawoun remained on one point from their opening draw against Al-Khaleej.
