AIOU Announces Entry Test Dates for PhD, MPhil and MS Admissions

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has released the entry test dates for admissions to PhD, MPhil and MS programs for the Autumn 2026 semester. The tests are set to commence on August 24th and conclude on August 28th, 2026. Applicants aiming to enroll in programs from the Faculty of Education must take their entry test on August 24th, 2026.

Those applying for programs within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities will be required to sit for their test on August 27th. Finally, the Faculty of Sciences has scheduled its test for August 28th, 2026. All examinations will commence at 9:00 AM. AIOU has permitted candidates to choose any of the designated test centers that are most convenient for them.

However, it is imperative that applicants adhere to the date assigned to their specific faculty. The university will host the assessments at its main campus in H-8, Islamabad, as well as at its regional campuses located in Multan, Quetta, Karachi, and Gilgit. AIOU has made it clear that only individuals who meet the qualifications for the PhD, MPhil or MS entry test will be invited for an interview.
