Aaron Glenn Gives Geno Smith Glowing Review After First Game Back With the Jets

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn gave an impressive evaluation of Geno Smith after the quarterback made his return to the team for the first time in nearly a decade. Smith, who had a successful stint with the Seahawks this year, appeared comfortable and efficient in his brief appearance on opening day, completing seven of seven passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Glenn praised Smith's performance, stating that he "looked very comfortable" and "exactly what we were looking for." Despite a disappointing year with the Las Vegas Raiders, Smith expressed a focus on continuous improvement and not getting overly confident or complacent. Fans are eagerly anticipating seeing the highly-rated Smith in action as the Jets begin their 2026 season against the Tennessee Titans on September 13th.
