Mumbai witnessed a tragic accident on Thursday at the Aarey Flyover on the Western Express Highway. A 46-year-old man, Sushil Sharma, lost his life after being hit by a truck while riding his motorbike. The incident occurred around 1:30 pm, when Sushil was en route to work in Malad West from his residence in Andheri East. According to his 73-year-old father, Sureshchandra Sharma, the truck impacted Sushil's motorcycle from the left side, causing him to fall onto the road.

The truck's wheel then allegedly ran over the fallen motorcyclist. A passer-by, Adarsh Singh, alerted Sushil's family about the accident, and a tempo driver stopped to assist him before transferring him to Jogeshwari Trauma Care Centre. Unfortunately, Sushil could not be saved despite the medical intervention and succumbed to his injuries at around 2:15 pm.

The police have registered a case against the truck driver for alleged negligence leading to the fatal accident and have served a notice to the accused.
