19-year nursing student found dead in Delhi hostel room, cops suspect suicide

On Friday, a 19-year-old nursing student was discovered dead in her hostel room in Central Delhi’s Rajinder Nagar, according to police reports. The victim, a third-year B.Sc. Nursing student, had been employed as part of the nursing staff at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. She hailed from Najafgarh in South West Delhi. Preliminary investigations suggest that the young woman died by hanging in her hostel room on the campus.

However, no suicide note has been found at the scene, police stated. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death has been launched. The Ganga Ram Hospital authorities expressed their shock over the incident, announcing their full cooperation with the investigating agencies and the exhaustive examination of all relevant facts, including the events leading to the tragedy.

The police received information regarding the student's demise from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on August 21. Upon receiving the information, local police personnel reached the spot and initiated proceedings. They are thoroughly examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and are expected to record statements from individuals acquainted with the deceased as part of the ongoing inquiry.
