Toxic advance booking: Yash’s film sells 85,000 tickets, earns Rs 4.10 cr within hours

Yash's eagerly anticipated film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, has ignited anticipation even before its theatrical debut on August 26, 2026. Advance ticket sales have commenced, and theatres in Karnataka, especially, are reporting a notable surge in demand. Several premium screenings are nearing capacity, although exact figures have not been disclosed.

While the film's buzz is palpable, ticket prices in upscale theatres have also garnered attention. In Bengaluru and Mumbai, some premium tickets are being offered for more than Rs 2,000. The priciest ticket, priced at Rs 2,250, is available in Mumbai at Jio World Drive in Bandra, inclusive of taxes. In Bengaluru, a similar premium ticket is available at Forum Rex Walk for Rs 2,181, including taxes.

Numerous multiplexes in both cities are also listing premium shows priced above Rs 1,500. The response has been particularly robust in Bengaluru, with several shows already nearly sold out. The exorbitant ticket prices have added to the growing excitement surrounding Yash's return to the silver screen. Toxic has been creating strong pre-release buzz, with its teaser, songs, trailer, and even an English trailer generating considerable interest.

The makers have recently unveiled an English trailer as well, further fueling speculation and excitement. With advance bookings now open, the film's premium ticket rates and enthusiastic early response have heightened expectations for its opening at the box office. Initially slated for a March release to avoid a clash with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar The Revenge, the film's release was subsequently moved to June before being postponed again.
