Tinubu orders arrest as fake agency is detected in SGF’s office

President Bola Tinubu has directed the immediate arrest of Prince George Buchi Nwabueze in relation to the discovery of a purported fake agency within the Secretary to the Government of the Federation's office, according to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). The ICPC revealed the existence of the fake agency, named National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, during a meeting with Tinubu on Friday.

Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, the chairman of the ICPC, stated that the new fake agency was found as part of the ongoing investigation into another fraudulent organization, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, run by Adeyemi Matthew. The fake agency was operating illegally within the premises of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation's office, with space allocated to it without authorization.

Tinubu has also ordered the suspension of three Permanent Secretaries - M.S Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare, and Richard P. Pheelangwah - in connection with the incident.
