Tinubu has your children at heart, Zulum tells parents of abducted pupils

Ninety-nine days after 44 pupils were abducted from Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Borno State, the state governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, welcomed the parents of the abducted children. At the Government House meeting in Maiduguri, Zulum pledged the administration's commitment to secure the children's safe return, alongside that of President Bola Tinubu's government.

Ishaku Jidai, the group's leader, conveyed the parents' anguish and desperation, requesting Zulum to directly communicate their plight to the President. The parents recounted the abduction of young children, with most aged between one and seven years. One parent lamented that two of his three children were taken, leaving him with only one. Governor Zulum expressed sympathy for the parents and affirmed the federal government's determination to rescue the children. He detailed ongoing meetings with security officials, including the National Security Adviser, DSS Director General, Chief of Army Staff, and the Inspector General of Police, all working diligently to secure the children's release.

Zulum assured the parents that the President is deeply concerned about their situation, promising to convey their message to the highest authority in Nigeria.
