In a recent survey, a Final Fantasy 14 roleplayer has discovered just how basic their Warrior of Light's backstory is. The Crystal RP Census, collected over two months by Reddit user CevicheLemon, includes over 10,000 responses. The character's stats include being a male hyur from Ul'dah, primarily identifying with Limsa Lominsa due to backstory reasons.

This places them in the most common gender, race, origin, and faction association categories. The survey also revealed that most Warriors of Light are female miqo te from Ishgard, with the least popular being a non-binary lalafell from the extinct Mhach empire. Despite these statistics, the census also noted that two people roleplay Omicrons, a robot race from another planet, and ten characters are invested in them.

The census highlights that hyur and elezen are overrepresented in Ishgard, while the Azim Steppe is dominated by the Au Ra race.
