Sifuna reveals how Wetang’ula ‘opened his file’ and recalled every insult

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna shared a humorous incident from a recent funeral, recounting how National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula allegedly confronted him with a list of every insult he had ever directed at the Speaker. Sifuna recounted the meeting which took place during the funeral service of Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale’s wife, Gloria Khalwale.

Sifuna explained that he was nervous to meet Wetang’ula alone following their previous political disagreements, and Khalwale had to accompany him to the Speaker’s office. Once there, Wetang’ula allegedly questioned Sifuna’s presence and began listing off the various insults Sifuna had allegedly hurled at him over the years. Sifuna claimed that Wetang’ula had detailed memory of every political attack he had made, down to the specific dates and locations.

The Senator joked that his presence may have saved the situation, as the meeting could have turned very differently.
