Risikerer flygelederstreik: Partene megler på overtid

Norsk Flygelederforening and Spekter are in a dispute, with the strike ongoing since Wednesday, with a deadline set for Friday midnight. Talks resumed early Friday morning, according to NRK. Twelve flight controllers were notified to be part of the first strike action, distributed across four units: control center in Røyken, Flesland, Gardermoen, and Stavanger.

Avinor Flight Safety has warned of delays at Flesland and Gardermoen if a strike occurs, and that Gardermoen could be completely closed for traffic for several hours. The Norwegian Flight Controllers Union leader, Robert Gjønnes, stated that they have several collective demands for revision in their agreement, including a rest regime for flight controllers and terms for instructor activity and life-cycle policy.

The Riksmekler, who has been the only one allowed to speak about the negotiations, noted that it was a difficult day yesterday, but a slightly better day today. They still have major unresolved issues to address in the coming hours. Projections indicate delays at Flesland and Gardermoen throughout the afternoon and evening, with increased delays and significant disruptions expected over the weekend.
