Rajasthan Women's Shelter With 3,295 Residents, Creates Guinness World Record For Largest Homeless Shelter For Females

In Bharatpur, Rajasthan, the Maa Madhuri Brij Varis Sewa Sadan Apna Ghar Sanstha has broken the Guinness World Record for the largest homeless shelter for females, housing 3,295 residents. The Apna Ghar Ashram, a humanitarian organization based in Bharatpur, has been dedicated to providing shelter, care, and rehabilitation to some of society's most vulnerable individuals for years.

Initially focusing on street children and abandoned people, the organization has since expanded to serve abandoned, destitute, homeless, elderly, injured, and mentally ill individuals. The Bharatpur headquarters of Apna Ghar Ashram is more than just a shelter; it functions as a comprehensive care and rehabilitation center. Many residents arrive at the shelter without family support or a home, some suffering from severe injuries, malnutrition, mental health issues, and other medical conditions.

The organization provides these individuals with free shelter, food, clothing, medical treatment, medicines, nursing care, psychological support, and rehabilitation services, supported through donations and volunteers. The "Prabhuji" philosophy at the heart of Apna Ghar Ashram emphasizes treating every person with dignity and compassion, viewing them as manifestations of God.

This Guinness World Record achievement has not only set a global milestone but also shed light on the significance of dignity, care, and rehabilitation for those abandoned or lacking support.
