Prince Sattam University prepares for new academic year with advanced tech upgrades

Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj is gearing up for the upcoming academic year, with extensive upgrades to its academic and technological facilities. The preparations for the September commencement were completed, ensuring students an optimal learning environment right from the first day.

The university conducted thorough checks on technical equipment, computers, display and audio systems, networks, and internet connectivity. Additionally, the university ensured that classrooms, laboratories, and workshops were in optimal condition, with a focus on safety, security, and accessibility for all students.

Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University boasts an impressive array of facilities, including 174 laboratories – with 137 on the main campus and 37 spread across branch campuses – alongside 81 computer labs, divided between 34 in the main campus and 47 in branch locations. This comprehensive infrastructure caters to various academic programs and practical applications, reflecting the university's commitment to fostering an environment ripe for learning and innovation.

To guarantee smooth operations, the university thoroughly tested educational devices and software, verified network and digital service stability, and integrated an electronic system for classroom management and booking. This streamlined approach ensures efficient facility utilization.

The readiness process involved multiple stages: initial inspection and operational testing, followed by addressing any issues identified and re-inspection to maintain readiness. Monitoring indicators included the functionality of all classrooms, labs, equipment, and networks, alongside completion of safety inspections and prompt resolution of any observations. Continuous preventive maintenance, regular inspections, and backup devices were also in place.
