Pound, Euro, Canadian Dollar Trash PKR Again to End Week

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) ended the week on a high note, closing in the green against the US Dollar for the 224th consecutive day on Friday. The PKR increased by one paisa to settle at 277.56 against the USD. This marks the sixth day of consecutive gains for the rupee against the greenback since December 25, 2025. Unlike the USD, the PKR remained stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR).

However, the PKR showed signs of weakness against several other major currencies. It dropped 16 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) and 1 paisa against the Euro (EUR). The rupee also declined by 79 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and 28 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD). Despite these fluctuations, the PKR managed to end the week with a positive trend against the US Dollar.
