Police hunt suspects after attempted armed robbery of Klang gold shop leaves one injured

SHAH ALAM, Aug 21 — Police are actively searching for suspects involved in an attempted armed robbery at a gold shop in Klang's Jalan Tengku Kelana, according to the latest report. The incident, which took place around 10:30 am, has gained widespread attention on social media. Deputy Klang Selatan district police chief Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah confirmed the event, stating that it resulted in an individual suffering injuries.

The investigation is being conducted under Section 394 of the Penal Code, which covers causing hurt during an attempted gang robbery, as well as Section 4 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971, for displaying firearms while attempting to commit robbery. A video circulating on social media shows several individuals, armed with hammers, attempting to break into a gold shop by shattering its display glass. They were unsuccessful in their robbery attempt and subsequently fled the scene on motorcycles.
