Poco M8X 5G With 7,900mAh Battery Launched In India: Price, Specifications

Poco has introduced a new addition to its M8 series in India, the M8x 5G. This device stands out due to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset and an impressive 7,900mAh battery, the largest among the current M8 lineup. Unlike its AMOLED counterparts, the M8x 5G features a 6.9-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, setting it apart as the more budget-friendly option in Poco's M8 offerings, which also includes the M8 Pro and M8s 5G.

Priced at Rs. 20,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs. 22,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, the Poco M8x 5G can be purchased from Flipkart starting August 27. Launch offers may further lower the price of the base model to Rs. 18,999.

The Poco M8x 5G boasts a 6.9-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, featuring two 2.4GHz Cortex-A78 cores and six 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores, complemented by an Adreno GPU. The device comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable via a microSD card.

For imaging, the phone features a single 50-megapixel primary rear camera with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The device is equipped with a 7,900mAh battery capable of 33W wired fast charging via a USB Type-C port. It runs on Android 16, with four years of OS updates promised.

Connectivity includes dual nano-SIM slots supporting 5G and 4G networks, VoLTE, Wi-Fi with mobile hotspot, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS with GLONASS, stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
