Osimhen Slammed with Fine for Traffic Violation in Turkey

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been fined in Turkey for a traffic violation after leaving training ahead of Galatasaray's second league game against Erzurumspor. The former Napoli player reportedly drove through a red light without stopping following an incident outside the training ground. Turkish outlet Haberler reported that footage showed Osimhen's vehicle crossing an intersection while the traffic light was red.

Galatasaray included the Super Eagles star in the squad for the match against Erzurumspor, despite the incident, as they aim to secure their first victory of the campaign. Osimhen started the new season strongly, scoring twice in the opening league fixture against newly-promoted Çorum. The Nigerian striker will now aim to maintain his impressive goal-scoring form and help Galatasaray win their first match of the 2026/2027 season in their quest to defend their league title.
