Old house, fresh bread: welcome to ‘ddd Bakery Café’

In the heart of Petaling Jaya, a quaint corner house along Jalan Othman conceals a delightful secret - ddd Bakery Café. The café, started in June by Chester Lee and four friends from local content-creation group Raisin Entertainment, resides in a former family home over 70 years old. The location was chosen after Lee spotted a "for rent" sign and learned the owner wished to find a tenant to revitalize the property.

Upon entering, one can't help but be drawn into a warm, inviting space reminiscent of a cozy living room. The café maintains a lived-in feel with strings of lights illuminating the spacious compound at night. Camping chairs are provided, allowing customers to choose their preferred spot to enjoy a hot cup of coffee under the stars.

The café offers four types of freshly baked bread, all baked onsite every morning: brioche buns, English muffins, potato buns, and milky toast. These are featured in the STS Platter, along with two spreads. The soft, fluffy bread pairs beautifully with pandan kaya and house-made basil butter, while the Creamy Curry Indomie provides an Asian twist with springy noodles coated in the café's secret curry paste and a generous portion of cheddar cheese.

The Triple-D Smash promises a meat lover's delight with a smashed Australian minced beef patty, pillowy brioche bun, cheese, and tangy pickled cucumbers. Golden, crispy fries complete this indulgent meal. The Muffin Deluxe showcases the simple combination of juicy grilled chicken thigh, fried Omega egg, and pillowy English muffin, showcasing tender chicken complementing the egg and bread.
