Nii Lante Vanderpuye apologises to Sammy Gyamfi, NDC over GoldBod comments

Nii Lante Vanderpuye, a member of the NDC, has expressed regret over his comments during a Citi TV discussion. In a statement, he acknowledged that his earlier remarks failed to accurately convey his intended position and caused harm to Sammy Gyamfi, the CEO of GoldBod, and the NDC party. He emphasized that his intention was never to undermine or support the opposition's attacks on Gyamfi and GoldBod.

Vanderpuye clarified that his remarks during the debate were aimed at defending GoldBod and Gyamfi's work. However, he admitted that his reaction to the sustained propaganda and attacks surrounding the issue led to a different impression. He particularly apologized to Gyamfi, acknowledging him as a dedicated member of the NDC. Vanderpuye also extended his apologies to the NDC leadership, members, and grassroots who were affected by his comments. He reassured that his political allegiance to the NDC remains steadfast.
