Nick Offerman Pokes Fun at Competing Against Harrison Ford in Emmys Comedy Category: ‘Did Not See That Coming’

Nick Offerman is up for two Emmy nominations this year, and one of them places him in competition with the iconic actor Harrison Ford. The Emmy in question is for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, a category that threw Offerman for a loop. He and his wife Megan Mullally appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to discuss their recent play in Chicago, where they shared the stage once again.

As the conversation continued, guest host Rosie O'Donnell highlighted Offerman's Emmy nominations and inquired about his feelings on the matter. Offerman expressed gratitude for his career, stating, "It's so nice to have a job as an actor," before adding, "And then to get all the way to where you’re in the mix of being awarded for your great show, it’s pretty swell, you know?"

However, he couldn't help but laugh at the unexpected competition he faces this year. "And, like, in one of them, I’m up against Harrison Ford, as a supporting actor in a comedy, which I did not see that coming," he quipped. The other nominees in the same category include Colman Domingo for "The Four Seasons," Paul W. Downs for "Hacks," Stephen Root for "Widow's Bay," Michael Urie for "Shrinking," and Tyler James Williams for "Abbott Elementary."
