Nakashima rallies past Fritz to reach back-to-back Masters semis

Brandon Nakashima, the 25-year-old American tennis player, has reached the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Open after an impressive display against fellow American Taylor Fritz. Nakashima has now reached the last four at back-to-back Masters 1000 events, following his success in Montreal last week. The match was filled with tight sets and thrilling tiebreaks, with both players exchanging leads and mini-breaks.

Nakashima finally broke Fritz's serve in the third set, converting his fifth set point to take the set 7-6(9). In the deciding set, Fritz extended his lead early on, but Nakashima made a remarkable recovery, breaking serve again and winning the final three games to secure a 6-3 victory. This win extends Nakashima's hot streak, marking his fourth top-10 victory of the season.

He will next face either Italian 10th seed Lorenzo Musetti or fellow American Frances Tiafoe in the semi-finals.
