MP Government Transfers 32 IAS Officers In Major Reshuffle; Ajay Kumar Devwal IS New Bhopal Municipal Corporation

On Friday afternoon, Madhya Pradesh's government undertook a significant administrative reorganization, transferring and redesignating 32 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The General Administration Department issued the transfer orders, which encompassed roles such as district panchayat CEOs, municipal corporation commissioners, additional collectors, deputy secretaries, and sub-divisional officers. Below is a comprehensive list of the transferred officials and their new designations:

Sanjana Jain, who joined in 2016 as an Additional Collector for Maihar district, has been reassigned to serve as Deputy Secretary in the Madhya Pradesh Government's Water Resources Department. Similarly, Jagdish Kumar Gome, a 2016 entrant as Chief Executive Officer for Singrauli's Zila Panchayat, has taken up the role of Chief Executive Officer for Singrauli's Zila Panchayat.

Abhishek Chaurasia, who began his tenure in 2018 as the CEO of Dhar's Zila Panchayat, is now the Additional Commissioner for Gwalior Municipal Corporation.

The list also includes several transfers at the municipal level, such as Ajay Kumar Devwal, who moved from Datia's Zila Panchayat CEO to the Additional Commissioner position within Bhopal Municipal Corporation. Jyoti Sharma, an IAS officer since 2018 and previously the CEO of Dewas's Zila Panchayat, has now been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Madhya Pradesh Government.

Anjali Joseph Jonayan, another 2018 recruit, has been assigned to the Public Works Department as Deputy Secretary, while Naveen Kumar Dubey has become the CEO of Dewas's Zila Panchayat.

Several officers have been transferred between different Zila Panchayats, including Srishti Deshmukh Gowda, who moved from Khandwa to Seoni, and Kajal Jawla, who shifted from Barwani to Bhopal's Rajya Shiksha Kendra position with additional duties as Deputy Secretary. Dr. Nagendra Gond, a 2019 addition, has been promoted to the Commissioner role within the Satna Municipal Corporation, with additional responsibilities as Smart City Commissioner for Satna.

The reshuffle also saw transfers involving officers from smaller districts, such as Ashish Kumar, an Assistant Collector from Jhabua who is now a Sub-Divisional Officer in Sagar district, and Aniket Chourasia, an Assistant Collector from Satna who has been reassigned to Baihar. The transfers span across various departments, including Water Resources, Public Works, Panchayat and Rural Development, Urban Administration and Development, and more, reflecting a broad restructuring within the state's administrative machinery.
