Moon Geun-young to return as film lead after 9 years

Moon Geun-young is set to reprise her role in a leading capacity after an absence of nine years, as revealed by the film's distributor. Yeon Sang-ho's upcoming movie, Yeto, is the project in question. The distributor, Showbox, shared this information on Friday. The narrative of Yeto revolves around the lives of influencer sisters, Su-a and Min-a, who plan a camping expedition.

However, Min-a goes missing during their stay at the former location of a pseudo-religious group. Moon Geun-young portrays Su-a, the elder sister who showcases her life alongside Min-a. Her previous leading role was in Glass Garden, which premiered in 2017. Kim Si-a, recognized for her performances in Miss Baek (2017) and Kill Boksoon (2023), will take on the role of Min-a.

Go Ah-sung will join the cast as Deok-hee, a mysterious individual encountered by the sisters. Yeon Sang-ho is co-directing the film alongside Yoon Young-woo, a rising filmmaker who previously served as an assistant director for Yeon's Netflix series Parasyte: The Grey and Hellbound. The production of Yeto has transitioned into the post-production phase following the completion of the filming process.
