McIlroy rebounds from Memphis slump to join five‑way BMW Championship lead

Rory McIlroy emerged from a recent slump to share a five-way tie for the lead in the BMW Championship, the second event of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs. He praised his birdies, including a crucial hole-in-one at the par-three 13th, and credited his recent work for improving his game and swing. Meanwhile, world number one Scottie Scheffler struggled, hitting just six fairways and 11 greens in regulation on his way to a two-over par 72 that left him tied for 44th.
