Koby Altman on Peyton Watson addition: He's a young, talented player who fits extremely well with the direction of our team

The Cleveland Cavaliers officially completed a five-team trade, adding Peyton Watson and Cam Whitmore to their roster. In return, the Cavs sent away Max Strus and Dennis Schröder, both key players in their successful Eastern Conference finals team. The deal also saw the Cavaliers part with an unprotected 2031 first-round pick and a future second-rounder to Denver.

The trade was finalized through a sign-and-trade agreement, which allowed the Cavaliers to acquire Watson as their top fallback option following a failed attempt to sign LeBron James.
