JDT cipta rekod dunia menang 109 tanpa kalah, juara Perlawanan Sumbangsih

Johor Darul Ta zim (JDT) has set a new world record by winning 109 consecutive league matches without a loss, claiming victory in the 2026-2027 Malaysia League opener against Kuching City FC at the Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, Iskandar Puteri. The record surpasses the previous mark of 108 consecutive league victories held by Ivory Coast club ASEC Mimosas from 1989 to 1994.

The 3-0 win against Kuching City FC in the Malaysia League Sumbangsih match further solidified JDT's position as a dominant force in Malaysian football. The three goals scored by Marcos Guilherme, Oscar Arribas, and Shahab Zahedi helped JDT secure the impressive record. JDT's strong start in the match saw them dominate the game, while Kuching City's goalkeeper, Muhammad Haziq Nadzli, managed to thwart several attacks from the home team.

However, JDT's relentless pressure eventually paid off in the 11th minute when Guilherme capitalized on a pass from Bergson da Silva to score the opening goal. Despite Kuching City's efforts to equalize through Gabriel Nistelrooy's header, the JDT goalkeeper, Ahmad Syihan Hazmi, saved the day. JDT continued to put pressure on Kuching City, extending their lead in the 55th minute through Arribas' powerful shot.

An almost goal in the 80th minute by Oscar was also thwarted by a slight save from the Kuching City player. The Harimau Selatan team maintained their dominance by scoring their third goal in the 86th minute, with Shahab Zahedi converting a header after Haziq failed to collect a previous attempt. The final score of 3-0 remained unchanged as the match concluded in front of 32,372 spectators.
