Half-Year Results 2026: Boskalis delivers solid performance amid challenging market conditions

Boskalis reported solid performance in the first half of 2026, despite challenging market conditions marked by geopolitical uncertainty and reduced client investment. Revenue totaled EUR 1.90 billion, down from the remarkable H1 2025 figure of EUR 2.35 billion. Key project contributions came from the Far East, Africa, Western Europe, and the domestic Dutch market.

The Offshore Energy division excelled due to efficient project execution and profitable major projects, including offshore wind installations. Marine Services also had a strong half-year, with numerous significant transport contracts. However, Towage & Salvage experienced a less productive half, largely due to fewer emergency response contracts.

EBITDA reached EUR 553 million, while net profit was EUR 275 million, reflecting a decline from the previous year. The company's order book stood at EUR 6.8 billion by June 2026, slightly lower than the end-of-2025 level but still providing a solid foundation for the remainder of the year. The company attributed its performance to its 11,000+ global employees and its diverse portfolio, especially in offshore wind and oil & gas sectors.

Despite challenges in Dredging & Inland Infra due to lower activity in Asia, the Middle East, and fleet utilization issues, the company secured large contracts, including Sweden's Luleå port development and UK infrastructure projects. The company remains cautiously optimistic about the year ahead, contingent on government and private sector commitment to new infrastructure investments and macroeconomic stability.
