Gov. Bala Mohammed bags outstanding governor of the year award

Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, has been awarded the Outstanding Governor of the Year 2026 by Business Times Magazine. The recognition came on August 20, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos, where he was represented by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.

The award honored Mohammed for his leadership, dedication to development, and contributions to innovation and impactful governance. In accepting the award, Gidado expressed gratitude to Business Times Magazine for the recognition and commended the organization for its professionalism, diligence, and commitment to recognizing individuals and institutions making positive societal contributions.

He emphasized that the award would inspire the Bauchi State Government to remain focused on its development agenda and pursue policies improving citizens' lives and positioning the state for sustainable growth.
