Foreign-sponsored proxies being used to destabilise Balochistan: CDF Asim Munir

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has warned that foreign-backed groups are attempting to destabilize Balochistan, impede its development, and create divisions within the province and its populace. During a meeting with Balochistan’s leaders and political figures, Field Marshal Munir stated that these hostile forces would be thwarted through nationwide unity and a determined response from the state, as per an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) report.

He emphasized that Balochistan and Pakistan are intertwined, highlighting the province’s reservoir of talented, resilient, patriotic, and proud individuals. Field Marshal Munir underscored the significance of a unified national narrative, peace, and stability for unlocking Balochistan’s economic potential, drawing investors, and transforming its abundant human and natural resources into concrete prosperity for the inhabitants.

He also spotlighted the crucial role of the province’s youth, describing them as one of the most dynamic and promising demographics, and stressed the importance of empowering them and providing avenues for them to contribute to national advancement. The army chief commended Balochistan’s notables and community leaders for fostering peace, fortifying social unity, and advancing a meaningful national conversation.

He stressed the necessity of a comprehensive counter-narrative to combat foreign propaganda, exposing false narratives and showcasing Balochistan’s true potential, progress, and aspirations. Field Marshal Munir affirmed that Balochistan’s fate is in the hands of its people. The attendees expressed their dedication to peace, development, and prosperity in Balochistan and Pakistan, pledging to unite with the state and armed forces against foreign threats to peace and stability.
