Flick Reveals How Torres Could Shape Barcelona’s Striker Search

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has indicated the club is still pursuing a striker before the transfer window concludes, according to SPORT. Flick expressed full confidence in sporting director Deco and emphasized Barcelona's need to bolster the position. The future of Ferran Torres could play a role in the search for a new striker.

Flick noted that Barcelona has several attacking options available, including Lamine Yamal who can play as a false nine, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi who can operate centrally or on the flanks. These internal options provide alternatives for Barcelona's attack, though Flick stressed that finding a specialist striker remains the preferred outcome.

For now, the club can rely on these existing options while Deco continues his search in the market. Despite Frenkie de Jong's injury, Flick dismissed the need for a new midfielder, stating that Barcelona already possess sufficient depth in that area. As a result, strengthening the striker position has become the club's top priority for the remainder of the transfer window.
