Father, Son Stabbed Over Mobile Phone Dispute; Four Held In Bhopal

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: In a tragic incident on Thursday night, a father and son were stabbed following a dispute over a mobile phone in the Piplani area. The attack, carried out by four youths, left the father and his son seriously injured, while the father's wife also sustained injuries while trying to intervene. Saroj Yadav, a resident of Hathaikheda Pathar, lodged a complaint alleging an attempted murder.

Her son, Durgesh Yadav, is a painter, and her husband, Mahesh, is also employed locally. The incident began when Ashish, a youth who had previously pledged his mobile phone to Durgesh, returned with the money and demanded the phone back. Durgesh insisted the money be kept and the phone collected the following day, leading to an argument.

Ashish returned with three friends - Anand, Nihal, and Uday - and allegedly attacked Durgesh while he was having dinner. During the assault, Ashish stabbed Durgesh on the head. When Mahesh tried to intervene, he too was attacked with a knife. Saroj, attempting to save her family, was also injured. Neighbors intervened, forcing the suspects to flee.

Police registered a case based on Saroj's complaint and arrested all four suspects - Ashish Ahirwar, Anand Valmiki, Nihal Valmiki, and Uday Valmiki.
