Edo Queens get home support ahead CAF qualifiers

Edo Queens have garnered significant support as they prepare for their CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B qualifiers in Burkina Faso. Club chairman Chief Emperor Jarrett Tenebe has called on residents of Edo State to pray for the team's success. Tenebe has booked Masses in all Catholic churches across the state for the team, appealing for prayer and support from other Christian denominations and Muslim communities.

He emphasized that Edo Queens are ambassadors of the state and Nigeria, representing the hopes and aspirations of the people. The chairman urged supporters, both at home and abroad, to continue backing the team throughout the competition and specifically requested those in Burkina Faso to attend the matches. Tenebe assured the players of the club's continued support and urged them to play with courage, discipline, and determination as they face strong opposition in Burkina Faso.

The qualifiers offer Edo Queens a pathway to the CAF Women’s Champions League, providing an opportunity to compete against top African clubs and raise the profile of women's football in Edo State.
