Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is Reportedly Getting Back Into Acting

Meghan Markle, now The Duchess of Sussex, is reportedly considering a return to her acting career. Following her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry, she took a break from performing. Recently, she has reportedly been offered a role in an upcoming U.K.-based project, according to News.com.au. No details about the role or production have been disclosed.

This news arrives just days after reports suggested Harry and Meghan would soon return to the U.K. for an extended period following six years in California. Markle had appeared in various documentary and lifestyle series during that time but did not take on new acting roles. Her acting career began with guest spots in TV shows like Knight Rider, Fringe, 90210, and CSI: Miami, before her breakthrough role in the legal drama Suits.

It was during her time as a working member of the Royal Family that Markle focused on official duties with Harry rather than her acting roles. Despite Harry and Meghan's decision to step back from royal life and live in the U.S., Markle has not yet returned to her former profession. The couple will reside in a private residence following their move, which comes after a rare visit in July to meet Harry's father, King Charles III.

A royal source revealed that the King was unaware of the move before last weekend but welcomed the opportunity to see more of the Sussex family privately.
