DMK rejects Vijay’s new cars for MLAs, then challenges CM over ‘corruption files’

The Leader of Opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly, Udhayanidhi, stated that Chief Minister C Vijay Joseph's decision to provide new cars to all MLAs may not be financially feasible due to the government's financial limitations. Consequently, DMK legislators have rejected the vehicles announced by the Vijay government. Udhayanidhi also called for the CM to release alleged corruption files linked to the previous DMK regime, criticizing him for speaking in the Assembly and claiming that the release of the files would be based on solid evidence.

In response, CM Vijay mentioned that the graft files would be released at an appropriate time; however, he did not directly address Udhayanidhi's challenge. The incident led to heated arguments between DMK and TVK MLAs, causing a brief disruption in the House before proceedings resumed.
