Dax aktuell: Dax beendet Verlustwoche – und schließt im Plus

Düsseldorf - After a four-day losing streak, Germany's leading index, the Dax, stabilized on Friday with a gain of 0.6 percent, closing at 26,137 points. This marked the index's return above the significant 26,000-point milestone, after initial difficulties. The previous Thursday saw the Dax slip 0.4 percent to 25,983 points, with all other trading days of the week ending in losses.

On a weekly basis, the index still recorded a 1.2 percent decline. The last complete losing week occurred in April of this year. However, the Dax remains above the 21-day line, currently sitting at 25,928 points, which is an average of the past 21 days. As long as the Dax stays above this level, from a technical perspective, the short-term trend remains intact.

According to Helaba expert Markus Reinwand, investors are still focused on reorganizing their portfolios. The Hessisch-Thuringian Landesbank, however, anticipates continued support for the stock market in the near future as the global industry cycle improves. They expect the Dax to reach 27,000 points by the end of the year, with the current record standing at 26,573 points.
