Class 10 score 54%, maths 41; three years later he cracked JEE Advanced

Jainendrajeet's Class 10 results were a shocking 54%, with only 41 marks in Mathematics and 48 in Science. He also had spent nearly 40 to 50 days in bed due to health issues before the exams, leaving him with minimal preparation time. Upon receiving his results, he was initially shocked and felt a sinking feeling that it was not his true potential.

His classmates had scored above 90%, making his result even more difficult to accept. Despite the criticism and trolling, Jainendrajeet refused to see his result as a verdict on his abilities. Instead, he decided to change his study habits.

After Class 10, Jainendrajeet did not simply decide to study for longer hours. He altered how he utilized his study time. He established a fixed timetable, minimized distractions, and reduced social media usage. His study time gradually increased to around 10 hours a day. A significant change was made before he even entered the classroom.

Jainendrajeet began watching educational videos before attending classes to have a basic understanding of the topic, making it easier to follow lectures and focus on challenging concepts rather than trying to learn everything from scratch.

Setting smaller, achievable daily targets instead of looking at the entire syllabus at once helped him manage his workload. Previous-year questions became a crucial part of his preparation, giving him insight into the exam pattern and enhancing his problem-solving skills. This transformation in his study approach led to remarkable results.

In JEE Main 2023, Jainendrajeet scored a remarkable 99.98 percentile and secured All India Rank 349 in JEE Advanced in the Open category, earning him a seat in the Computer Science programme at IIT Bombay.
