Celtic can end Rangers’ five-year UEFA advantage by finishing job against LASK

Celtic can erase Rangers' five-year UEFA advantage by clinching qualification against LASK next week, according to Martin O'Neill's side. The Scottish champions secured a commanding 3-0 first-leg victory at Celtic Park, solidifying their position within reach of European football's elite. With Rangers currently leading the UEFA coefficient ranking by a narrow margin, a Champions League spot would see Celtic leapfrog their rivals and gain a significant 1.250-point boost in the five-year ranking.

This advantage would be immediately added to Celtic's existing total of 44.000 points, thanks to the minimum 6.000-point guarantee for qualifying clubs. Eliminating Rangers' five-year advantage would be a bitter pill for the Ibrox club to swallow, as they have been without a Champions League place since the 2020/21 season.
