CDA Reclaims 50 Kanal of Encroached Land at Quaid-i-Azam University

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reclaimed 50 kanal of land encroached upon at Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad, as part of a joint anti-encroachment operation carried out by its Enforcement and Environment Wings. This land was initially designated for the National Center for Physics. During the operation, seven illegal structures were dismantled, freeing the land for its intended use.

Heavy machinery was employed by the CDA teams, while representatives from the district administration were on-site. The operation was supported by a large police presence, intended to maintain order and handle any potential disturbances. As a result of the operation, one obstruction case was filed and forwarded to the Secretariat Police Station for further legal proceedings.

The CDA emphasized that these actions were taken to curb illegal encroachments and obstructions on public land. They have also declared that similar operations against illegal encroachments will continue throughout Islamabad, aiming to reclaim public land, remove unlawful structures, and restore encroached areas to their designated purposes.
