BREAKING: Tinubu orders arrest, suspends three perm secs as ICPC uncovers new fake agency

A US Federal Court has granted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) permission to review certain records related to alleged drug trafficking allegations involving Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, according to a recent update shared on X by Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C., a Washington-based lobbying firm. The judge overseeing the case, Beryl Howell of the US District Court for the District of Columbia, has ordered the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Department of Justice (DOJ), and President Tinubu to file their opposition to the release of the documents by August 28, 2026.

Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C. described the 'no later' language in the court's order as a sign that the court has reached its limits. The firm also alleged that the FBI possesses highly sensitive information related to the alleged drug trafficking allegations against Tinubu and that the FBI sought this private review to protect the confidentiality of the potentially sensitive material.
