Batwara 1947 box office Day 7: Sunny Deol film sinks to Rs 1.35 cr; Awarapan 2 leads

On the seventh day of its theatrical run, Sunny Deol's film Batwara 1947 experienced a decline in box office collections, earning Rs 1.35 crore in India. The Partition drama, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, has so far generated Rs 39.87 crore in India and Rs 47.62 crore worldwide. Despite an impressive opening day collection of Rs 5.75 crore and a strong performance on Independence Day with Rs 13.50 crore, the film's momentum has since slowed down.

Occupancy, which peaked at 34% on Independence Day, has since dropped to 8% on Day 7. Awarapan 2, a romantic action sequel starring Emraan Hashmi, has surpassed Batwara 1947 in box office performance, earning Rs 6 crore net in India and reaching a total worldwide collection of Rs 161.67 crore.
