The Independence Day holiday period proved to be a blessing for the film, which maintained a strong momentum throughout its opening week. The movie, which released on August 14, successfully navigated the Monday test and remained steady on Tuesday before experiencing a slight dip on Wednesday and Thursday.

Despite the drop on those days, the film benefited from the popularity of the original 'Awarapan,' which, though not a major hit initially, garnered a cult following due to its music and emotional story. Sacnilk's data reveals that 'Awarapan 2' began with Rs 22 crore on Friday, skyrocketing by 55 percent to Rs 33.75 crore on Saturday, driven by increased show counts amidst the Independence Day holiday.

The film continued its upward trajectory with Rs 26 crore on Sunday. Although collections dipped on Monday with Rs 9.25 crore, the movie steadied on Tuesday, adding another Rs 9.75 crore. On Wednesday, there was a 16 percent decline, collecting Rs 6.75 crore. However, the film held steady on Thursday, earning Rs 6 crore across 10,832 shows.
