Anthropic expects to match or top SpaceX’s record IPO size

Anthropic, the developer behind the Claude AI, anticipates that its upcoming initial public offering (IPO) could match or surpass the record-setting size of SpaceX's IPO. According to sources familiar with the matter, Anthropic is currently evaluating the potential IPO size as it prepares to file as early as the end of this month. SpaceX's IPO in May 2022 raised $75 billion, and with the overallotment option, the final amount increased to $86.2 billion.

While the exact IPO size remains undisclosed, data from Bloomberg indicates that multiple banks, including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Group Inc., and JPMorgan Chase & Co., are involved in the process.

Anthropic's super-voting shares proposal, which would grant CEO Dario Amodei and co-founders greater control, has also been discussed. The company's recent revenue has surged, reaching $11.5 billion in the second quarter compared to $787 million in the same period last year. However, Anthropic reported a net loss of nearly $42 billion in 2025, a significant jump from $8.3 billion in the prior year.
